Flight

My very first entry, ever, and it is long overdue. So I apologise for not being able to update as often as I would like. Reasons like poor signal strength, jet lagged (which means that I get tired in the afternoon here), not enough time on the net and non-free access to the net has hampered my blogging time. OK, HERE WE GO…..

PRE-FLIGHT

6th September, night of the flight. Several friends of mine turned up to send me off and I realized that I never really thanked you guys for being there. So, thank you Yee Shian (Janson), Pravin, Iffah, Matthew, Ila, Charlene and Shahrin (don’t know if I spelt it correctly, sorry), and of course, me lil sis and my parents. Spent a little time taking pictures with my boarding pass

before finally deciding to enter, and already, something funny happened. I went over to the automatic scanner and placed my passport. It read then it later failed to read my thumbprint. Sadded, wasted a few more minutes processing the passport. Those who saw it, I know you were probably laughing, hahahah, it was funny though. At the custom check, I had to go through so many procedures. Had to take out my laptop and turn out to check the function. Then later walking through the metal detectors, it turns out I had metal on me. and the security officer thought I was going home. HAHAHAH. Do I seriously look like a westerner aka ANG MOH.

FLIGHT

12 hours of flight is no joke. I thought it was 14 but apparently, it only takes 12. 2 less hours for me to watch movies on board, but not like it did me any good as I only watched fantastic 4: rise of the silver surfer. Slept for most of the journey as it was late in Singapore time. The journey wasn’t the smoothest of rides as turbulence played a part in several parts of the journey. The food they served wasn’t too bad and half way during the flight, I had a stomachache but nothing like a shit to cure the pain. LOL. Too much turbulence, couldn’t get out of my seat, DO THE MATH. But overall, it passed by rather quickly and before long, we were at the gates of Heathrow airport.

POST-FLIGHT

Custom people were not that friendly, so I don’t wanna talk about them; nasty little critters that asked so many questions. Had to make a short walk to the central bus station to catch a bus that would take us to London. From there, we made our way on foot to our guest room: Luna and Simone. Rather long walk considering we didn’t know our way around, but it was probably the same distance from Khatib to Yishun. Haha.

Welcome to Heathrow Airport

Checked into the room which wasn’t very roomy, but it was cozy. After that, freshened up a little and then London awaits DOPE BOY INC…
