Day 6

LOCHS & GO GO GLASGOW

DAY: Wednesday

LOCATION: Culloden

TIME: 10:00

WEATHER: 13-15 degrees, slight wind

Leaving the country side of Laggen, we traveled down towards the famous battlefield at Culloden. I can’t remember completely who were the feuding clans (in Scotland, clans refer to the different families), so here are the pictures to remember the place by.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Culloden

The battlefield site

Don't know what this stone is for.

Once again, the battlefield

R.I.P

Don't know what this is....

and this...

this too

Now en-route to Ben Nevis, the highest point in Britain, we stopped by Nessie’s home to pay her a visit. Nobody had ever really seen Nessie before and even pictures used by restaurants were bluffed by some smart alec who used plastercine to mould out Nessie and took a picture from his own pond. Hahaha, ingenious. But nonetheless, Loch Ness was stunningly beautiful.

Here nessie nessie.

Well, its not exactly nessie, and not as spectacular, but i thought i just have this picture.

What a view.

And in a matter of seconds, the sun is out

And this is what happens when the sun is out

(well there is actually a few more pictures but they looked the same although they may not be. so well.... yeah.)

And we made a short stop at spean bridge mill.

The entrance of the mill.

I saw this 2 cute dogs there. SOOOOO CUUUUTTTTEEEEE. haha

Please don't call me crazy, but although that letter is "edin...", it looks kind of like "eoinburgh". haha.

LOCATION: Ben Nevis

TIME: 12:30

WEATHER: 11-13 degrees, windy as hell. Lol.

Well, I shall not say much about this place, the pictures will do the talking.

Something interesting though was said by the tour director when I was there;

“Gondolas are supported by very strong strings” – Vic Allen.

The entrance to Ben Nevis

Its quite a popular place here Ben Nevis

This is the gondola, which is supported by very strong strings, that took us up the hill to begin

As the gondola takes us up....

and up...

and up somemore...

This dude here just kept smiling. For what, i also don't know.

Among the clouds, its all so white and cloudy up here.

So i must take some pictures here. The wind was so strong that i could hardly open my eyes.

This is what you see when you look down.

I'm on top of the UK. But not exactly top of the world. But almost. Well, not really.

Some more pictures for the sake of picture taking. Its a good thing my sis didn't go, or she would have got blown off the mountain. hahaha.

After departing from Ben Nevis, we continued our way to our final destination for the day in Glasgow. We were traveling along the highlands and paused every now and then for a photograph.

Admire the view

Don't need to stop

Keep on going

You're almost there

Nah, you don't have to look at the guy on the left. just look at the view.

And you're there. On grounds nearer to me lied a deer

Here dear deer.

Awww, isn't she pretty.

And then stopping by for a little tea time break. and saw a truck full of sheep.

Loch Lomond, 2nd only to Loch Ness.

Those pipes are hydroelectric things that do things that i can't remember.

Loch Lomond.

Lochy lochy lomond.

And since it was so beautiful, i decided to add some more finesse to the picture. I'm only joking. hahahaha.

LOCATION: Glasgow

TIME: 18:30

WEATHER: 16-17 degrees. Dry

What a city! What a city! Really busy city, many youngsters and the city has been known to be where people get drunk and violent. My my, and I had dinner in a pub. The people here are so rowdy, anyone and everyone would just sit and talk, and already when I entered the pub, it reeked of alcohol and people were already drunk. Oh oh, I got to say this. One of the waiters checked my identity to see if I was really 18 because we were in a bar. But the sign read; “If you are lucky enough to look under 21, please do not be offended when we check your identity to verify that you are 18 to purchase alcohol”.

Enough said. Hehe. Really cool city; and this was the city where I saw lots of pretty gals, hahahahha, not that I didn’t see any before, but many more here as the city is so vibrant. Didn’t dare take too many pics as the tour director said try not to look like a tourist and you can imagine what that means. Haha. On the way back to the hotel, passed by a bar where they were watching Scotland and France. You cannot believe how the locals there celebrated when James McFadden scored. It was really something. But too bad the England game was on as well so I went back to the hotel to watch that match. The Sky Sports here use the song “Starlight” for the Euro 2008 opening sequence. NICE!!!! But here are some of the pictures I took in Glasgow. Till next time, adios.

The room in Glasgow. Radidson. Nice hotel. And the only one with free wifi. haha.

This is the corridor. Its so unique right.

Read below to find out what this is.

Haha.

Check out the classly pool table. Too bad i didn't play. Or else they would have found a new pool champion. hahahaha. As you can tell i like to tell jokes ar. haha.

and this is central station. hehe
