Day 8

THE PENULTIMATE DAY OF AMAZING BRITAIN

DAY: Friday

LOCATION: Chester

TIME: 10:30

WEATHER: 12-13 degrees, dry

Well, after breakfast we traveled to the city of Chester and if memory serves me correctly, that was the exact same place where Michael Owen was born. You’re still one of my heroes. Anyways, it was a rather long journey up there, took about 2hrs. as usual for the past few days, I slept on the bus. Upon arrival, it was a delightful little town where people could do some serious shopping and it was here where I found the best looking shop off all time. Hahaha. Apart from shopping, we also took a walk along the walls. Nice view.

He's much taller now.

As i said above, the nicest shop in the WHOLE WORLD. To all the non liverpool fans, you are welcome to disagree with me.

The wall or bridge or clock bridge that we can walk on.

Welcome to the Roman Amphitheatre.

This was said to house 9000 audience. Can you believe it?

Ladies and gentlemen, i regret to inform you that the main attraction is not coming for the performance. He has taken the night off.

And thus you have an empty theatre.

Well well, a flea market.

Lots of stuff there. Fruits, veg, peanuts, chocolate.

Leaving Chester en-route to Wedgwood, saw some rather amusing things on the way.

Some boats on the river.

A radio satellite dish, MADE FROM STRAW. hahaha. It was said to be done by a farmer who had loads of time to spare. Other landmarks he made included the London Eye and NASA rocket i think. haha. Wonder what it will be next year.

LOCATION: Wedgwood

TIME: 12:30

WEATHER: 13-14 degrees, rather windy

It was here where a lot of pottery was made and they all looked exquisite. (I never really was a pottery person.) Anyways, pictures were not allowed as they probably fear that their designs may be copied but when I entered the gift shop, I snuck a few pictures that caught my eye.

The simpsons mug. View 1

I used to love these trains so much. In the past. haha

LOCATION: Tintern Abbey, Wales

TIME: 16:30

WEATHER: 18-19 degrees, sunny

A brief visit to Wales (and I do mean brief; 30 minutes brief) and the ruins of Tintern Abbey which was ruined by Henry VIII.

Here is a little fact about Wales; Wales, population of 2.75 million people and 6 million sheep. Haha.

Thanks very much.

The ruins of Tintern Abbey.

Well, whats left of it anyways.

The gift shop.

The funny looking words are the old celtic words. And i have no idea how to pronounce them.

LOCATION: Bristol City

TIME: 18:30

WEATHER: 18-19 degrees, dry

Well now, it’s the last dinner the whole group were going to have together. And so they labeled this “Our highlight dinner” which was in a traditional pub dating back to the 17th century.

The bar which the highlight dinner was at.

And these are the nice people at the table with us.

Haha.

My dinner, rice with beef. The rice was a bit grainy. I guess thats how Caucasians like their rice.

And viola, the last desert with the tour group.

The last hotel on this tour saw us staying at the Marriott. Why do all this big name hotels not have free internet access while cheaper and dependable guest rooms provide it for free. The only exception on this whole tour was Radison. Barnacles. Well, tomorrow starts early once again, and so I have to turn in early.
