Day 10

Accueillir à Paris (Welcome to Paris)

DAY: Sunday

LOCATION: Paris

TIME: 13:50

WEATHER: 20-22 degrees, sunny and dry

Now in the previous entry I mentioned that I was on the Eurostar already. But let me take you back about 2 hours earlier.

2 hours earlier

Woke up to breakfast, took the bus to Waterloo Station to catch Eurostar and all the usual stuff.

Back to the present

TIME to Paris: 2hrs30mins

Welcome on aboard.

My my, is that the time. I got to hurry up.

And so on our way up to the Eurostar...

Walking along the long train...

And look, you can see the London Eye from where I am. hahahaha.

Tickets please.

The train is rather dirty wouldn't you say.

The interior of the Eurostar

And this is how the Mets aka subway in Paris is like. You have to open the doors yourself if you wanna board the train.

And this is the street along which our hotel is located.

Well then, checked into the hotel was first on the agenda. We arrived with good time to make our first stop at…. Yes, you guessed it. Eiffel Tower. OMG, I can’t believe I’m actually going to see the Eiffel Tower. We traveled via the metro which is like the MRT in Singapore and, to my surprise, there are people who busk in the train. Singing and then asking for money. All very interesting. But before going on, let me just say that Paris is so unbelievably lovely and beautiful and even though the trains are not as nice to travel in, the girls in the city make up for it. They have a wealth of HOT FRENCH GIRLS here. every corner you can see one. Now, as the lines for the Eiffel Tower was soooooo long, we climbed the stairs to get to the top. And yes, you have to pay to walk it. But enough talk, lets see.

The first ever time i stumbled upon it. At first it was a low maintained building cuz it was all brownish like rusted. Ahhh but who cares, it not the rust. Its just the metal.

Merci beaucoup.

Looks at all the people there.

This was the best i could do to try to "upskirt" the tower.

They look like tiny little people from way above.

Viola, the freaks who queued and queued to take the lift up. TAKE A WALK PEOPLE.

I walked and i still made it up.

The view of The City of Lights. I think this is the North view.

The South View.

The East view.

The West view. you know what, i made all that directions up. I did not have a clue as to where i was. hahaha

Taking the tower from 1st floor to 2nd floor.

A glimpse of the 1st floor shops.

On the lift down as they closed the staircase at 6.

You can see the IRB world cup balloon hanging there.

From afar.

Its growing out from my head. hehe.

Well, i did not go all the way to the top as i did not possess a ticket that allowed me to go all the way up. So i only got to the 2nd floor.

After a while, I felt hungry and realized that it was because we haven’t lunch yet. So lunch and dinner combined at an Italian restaurant.

I just love Italian food. Especially when Italy beat France in the World cup last year.

You like some pasta son?

Dinner was good and the waiter was a cheeky little guy, teased me the whole time. And oh ya, before I forget, I have forgotten how to converse in French. Well, I still do remember the simple words like bonjour, au revoir, merci beaucoup, sil vous plait and most importantly, vous parlez anglais. Hopefully i will put all of that to good use and hopefully i can remember more french words. So now for a stroll to let the food digest and since we were near to the Eiffel tower, what else but to take more photos of it.

So we was walking along to let the food digest.

Hello boaty.

Now let me share a story about a good friend of mine:

Introducing: Eiffely

He was always taller than me, better than me, and thats why i looked up to him.

Then he started shining in some many colours it started to bug me. So i grab him around the neck.

By the time i was nearly as big as him and wanted to crush him like an ant.

But then i realised that i was growing in size and my height overwhelmed him. So i decided to just carry him in my palm. hahaha

Anyways, lets just continue to marvel at it. Even i am still marvelling at it.

LA LA LA LA LA LA.

She was so incredibly beautiful. But they are still more things to see in Paris. If ever you have the chance, you HAVE HAVE HAVE to go there. It is simply amazing. Well, a new day of adventures await me tomorrow. So till the next entry, have a nice day.
