Day 13 & 14

SHOP, SHOP AND SHOP SOME MORE

DAYS: Wednesday & Thursday

LOCATION: Paris and London

TIME: Cannot remember

WEATHER: My head is rather cloudy; I can’t remember the weather for those 2 days.

Our last full day in Paris saw us doing shopping at none other then “Galeries Lafayette”. And even though I am not a shopperholic, I do know I’ve entered a place which is perfect for me to spend money. Hahaha. And so because I was too busy looking at the items; I did not spend too much time taking pictures. It had everything, perfume, cosmetics, shirts, tops, jackets, pants, shorts, accessories, grocery shopping, souvenirs and a restaurant that gives you the view of the Eiffel Tower. But here are the pictures that I got.

Look at the top and it says "Galeries Lafayette".

Low and behold....

An upside down Eiffel Tower. Cool.

Look at the brands. How to buy?

Don't know what this is.

More shopping to continue as we head of to Chatelet. Its where the locals usually do most of their shopping; which can only mean good things for me. hahaha. I’m not going to make up any excuses for not having pictures, but shopping is shopping. And I don’t want to multi task and not concentrate.

Chatelet

I'm lost and i need directions, can someone show me?

Very very busy.

Well, and that was it for the last full day in Paris. Au revoir Paris. I sure had a wonderful, unbelievable, indescribable experience there. Tomorrow, I will be heading back to London via Eurostar.

Some things that I have learned while in Paris:

  • The railway system in Paris is rather complex, maybe it’s the map I was reading because it showed the stations cramped together.

  • Stations may be 14 stops away, but it takes like about 25-30 minutes to reach as the distance between each stop is never more than 1 minute. Unlike in Singapore.

  • The French are actually quite friendly and not those arrogant and snobby that people make them to be.

  • There are no French restaurants around. WHY?

  • I did not make good use of my French. What a waste.

  • Paris is not as cold as London. I didn't even need to use my scarf in Paris.

Back in London

Arriving in London on Thursday noon and once again checked into our hotel. But this time, we got the basement room. Therefore, there was no wi-fi available. Sian. But you could get wi-fi from the staircase though. Anyways, it was time to head out again. Times are wasting. We went to Victoria Coach Station to buy tickets for a coach to take us to Heathrow on Sunday. Then we went to Knightsbridge which was where we found none other than, Harrods. Walked and walked around it, smelled all the perfume which make me go a bit woozy, but its Harrods, so I don’t care. Haha. Once again, pricy pricy stuff so I’ll just take a walk. And we saw Tony Tan. Haha.

The outside of Harrods.

I'm not kidding, it is Harrods.

The ceiling....

The floor....

The escalators....

Toy department

and again the ceiling.

That’s the end of the high end shopping spree, well, sight seeing to do tomorrow. Goodnight ya’ll.
